Coronado Woods Permanent Earth Retention Structure

The contractor came to us to help provide a permanent solution to a problem that plagued the condo association for decades; a failing slope. The condos were built on uncontrolled fill and had experienced significant deflection and movement that caused major damage to the existing structures.

Structured Design and Consulting designed a system of permanent soldier piles anchored into the existing rock. Deadman anchors were also installed to hold the wall in place and keep it from sliding down the slope. The design allowed the contractor to install the earth retention structure in a tight access situation without causing damage to the existing condo buildings.
