Trebein Road Sheet Pile Cofferdam

The project was an Ohio Department of Transportation bridge replacement project at Trebein Rd near Beavercreek, OH.

The contractor came to us to help provide a temporary solution for Driven Cast-in-Place tube piles installed in the dry inside of a cofferdam. Structured Design and Consulting was retained to design a 17’ retained height sheet pile cofferdam for a river pier in the Little Miami River.

Structured Design and Consulting designed a system utilizing the contractor’s materials to help save on costs. A ring set waler was installed which allowed for shorter sheet piles to be driven. The design allowed the contractor to install the tube piles in tight access without water impacting operations.
